First Flight Increase Courier Charges Manifold.

Hello,

May of the ebay sellers use First Flight couriers as it was a reliable and economic courier for shipment.

Recently citing fuel price increase, First Flight has increased the rates for many of its small customers by 2 - 3 times.

This will impact shipping charges on many items and make ebaY sellers uncomepetetive with other shopping portals who handle the shipping themselves and get very good bulk rates.

Small ebay sellers with less than 10-20 shipments will never be able to get as good rates as the portals which have over 1000 shipments per day.

For e.g. First Flight just came with a contract rate of Rs.48/- per hald k.g. plus service tax. Now the shipping charges for even a 1 KG parcel will be over Rs.100

Sometime back the ex-CEO or ebaY Rajan Mehra has said ebay will planning to tie up with courier company and take over logistics in the second half of 2008. I think it high time ebay does this asap.

Yes its True , First flight & DTDC both are increasing the prices , We have got update from both courier , they will increase the charges by 20-30%.

as TNT & Blue dart Had already increased the prices by 20%.( fuel surcharges are now 20% )

our costing are going up day by day .

lets hope every thing will be fine .

Same here.. But is there any other option as online biz cannot be done without couriers.. Hope eBay soon does a pan india deal with some courier company..

Try pafex couriers. It provides online tracking, good prices and its the indian arm of Fedex international.
