DEAR EBAY TEAM,

THERE IS SOME BIG PROBLEM IN YOUR SYSTEM SINCE YESTERDAY I CANNOT LIST ANYTHING ON EBAY NOR CAN I RELIST AN ENDED ITEM NOR CAN I USE THE SELL SIMILAR BUTTON.

Hi - did you ever sort this after? I'm having the exact same problem and don't know what to do - I've cleared my history/cookies/temp files and restarted computer/firefox/internet explorer, but NOTHING works 😞 I just want to sell my car, but looks like I'll have to go through Autotrader instead 😞

Could be an "eBay" glitch.


Do run a check for spyware on your computer, especially the person who is experiencing the freeze. Your regular virus checker will not likely pick up spyware. You can go here, for a download of Microsoft's Anti-Spyware software which is still in the beta version:

There are also two other programs that work well together: Ad-Aware, made by LavaSoft, and SpyBot Search & Destroy. An easy place to download these is here:

Is your java version and your web browser current? Go into your file manager program and delete your java, then download a new version of it from this address. There were recent upgrades to the site and we are finding that some members need to re-download the Java program to get the sell your item form and others up and running again.

You might also consider downloading and installing an alternate browser. My pick for you would be the Firefox browser. It can be obtained free from Mozilla.com. It's faster and more secure than Internet Explorer. I'm giving you a great link especially if you change to Firefox. This was compiled by a wonderful user.

Ebay sure is having some trouble; I experienced the same phenomenon when trying to list new or relist old items. However, when I relisted in bulk, everything was OK.
What I can make of it is that Ebay is still debugging the new selling format introduced recently.

I got swift reply from Jaipur_Mart he sent me a personal msg to delete all cookies from my comp and as soon as i deleted them i was back to selling 🙂
