Hi All,
I seem to have cheated by Rs1400. A person was offering a mobile for rs1400 and asked me to transfer to an ICICI account . He told me that as he is selling it on low rate, he might save on ebay commission. So in good faith I transferred money. After that his number is not reachable nor he is replying to mails. EBay support are not helping me because I have not tansacted through ebay. Please suggest what I can do to trackthis fraud
regards
Jagat

Hello Jagat,
Sorry for your bad experience on eBay. 😞
It won't be in the interest of both parties to judge without having reasonable information regarding the transaction. Still, if you feel that a lot of time has passed since you have paid, you can file an Item-not-received dispute with eBay. 😉
You should not think that you are helpless, because sending money through online-payment is not illegal or unaccountable. Since you have the details of your seller's account and the Payment ID of the transaction, you can still produce proof through your Bank's statement. This will be enough to legally penalise a non-performing seller. You can also furnish the seller's name, ID and item details on this forum so that others can be aware of him! ]:)
I hope this will be helpful to you.
Do keep writing!!

The seller is jobinvargis
I fell into his trap. My mistake. I did not complete the transaction through ebay. If I had completed the tranasaction then only it will allow me an item not received dispute.
I can go for a police action, but the person seem to be from kerala and I am in hyderabad. Ebay should have a system of registering complaints from users [its ok if they charge the users also] as it will give a global focus to legal action.
Ebay people are also not providing me his address as I have not completed the transaction with him.
Now the seller himself has unregistered from the ebay account.
