HDFC Bank Direct Pay - Delays

Hi PaisaPay Team

You have admitted you have a known unfixable bug regarding HDFC bank online transfer.

So I request you, no, implore you to inform buyer before they make the payment regarding the prossesing time for HDFC online transfers.

This way the buyer can make an informed decission to go for HDFC online payments or other mode. And if they do still decide to pay by HDFC online transfer they know and will wait for 2-3 business day for your to process their payments.

Today this is causing a lot of confusion and frustration for buyer and a lot of extra work for sellers expalining each and every buyer of the same.

Since PaisaPay is an exlusive eBay.in product, I hope you can implement this suggestion immediately without bureaucratic delays.

I have an order pending from 17th August 2005.
PaisaPay ID : 101197841 (PaisaPay customer service processing (high value credit card).

These funds are still under pending payment status. Buyer is sending me emails to dispatch the product.

Dear Users,

Currently, all payments made using HDFC Bank are delayed by 48 hours as HDFC doesn't support Server2Server (S2S) connection to validate a payment made by a HDFC user on a real time basis. As a result all successful HDFC payments are in Pending State until the daily batch file is received from HDFC. This is done keeping in mind that payments needs to be handled with utmost care and diligence.

We are working with HDFC to remove this delay completely. I am glad to inform that post September 05, HDFC payments will be treated in the same manner as other banks, i.e. on a real time basis. In other words, post Sep05, payment made thru HDFC Direct Pay will be confirmed immediately and this problem will cease to exist forever.

Thank you for keen interest on the upcoming improvement in HDFC payments. By stating "Post September 05", we meant post end of month of September 2005 we will have real time confirmation of HDFC payments. We did not mean 5th day of September.

Its around the corner - and we are eagerly waiting as the final changes are being done in the back end systems of HDFC and eBay.

Paisa pay team,
I had remitted 5500 for item number 5810149073 through HDFC online money transfer to paisa pay on 17th and still the status is shown as pending. I had contacted the seller and he has not got any payment yet. The paisa pay id is 118743579
If you already know that online money transfers, particularly from HDFC bank would get so much delayed, then why can't you put a note when we pay up. I could have couriered the seller a cheque and he could have even started shipping my item by now.
I can't say that anything has been customer friendly with this paisa pay transaction. A thoroughly frustrating experience. Can you please let us buyers know whats going on?

Dear Sir,

We are happy to inform you that the delay in confirming payments made through HDFC Bank Net-Banking has been resolved. Going forward HDFC Bank payments will be treated in the same manner as other banks, i.e. on a real time basis.

HDFC Bank is one of the most preferred payment modes on eBay India. Till now payments made using HDFC Banks were in Pending state for 48 hours due to technical reasons. This was not good user experience as the buyers would have to wait for 48 hours after their bank account would have been debited before the payment was confirmed.

This has now been resolved as you would get a real time payment confirmation of payments made through HDFC Bank doing away with the delay of 48 hours.
