i m a new seller, just list my products yesterday. out of the 26 products listed by me, 12 have been sold and all are fake nigerian buyers.
problems i m facing:
1] i cant list new products as ebay is asking me to pay its fees which is over Rs.6000 now(as all products i m selling are costly)
2] as i have used listing upgrades for all products(Rs.10 per product) ebay is asking me to pay Rs.150 for these unpaid products even if the selling fees is credited at a later date.
plz help me to come out this menace. otherwise i will have no option but to stop using ebay. plz help as i m a new seller. tell me how to stop these fake nigerians from buying. i have also used buyer requirements but that is of no use.
waiting for your valuable suggestions.

Hi,
You can report the items "bought" by the nigerian fake buyers as Unpaid item. It will enable you to get Final Value Fee credit.
You have to pay the listing upgrade fees even if the products remain unsold.
You can use buyer preferences. This may reduce the number of bids in your items but will also reduce the number of fake bids. .
Best Regards 😄

thanks for the suggestion swaroop,
i know i will have to pay for listing upgrades een for unsold items, but only after 7 days.
but here i may have to relist the same item 3 times in a week and pay upgrade fees everytime....
i m thinking of not using e bay anymore....and i will refuse to pay to ebay also as 20 out of 25 products have been purchased by fake buyers....its mistake on part of ebay...thats what i think....
what do u think? my future course of action will depend on ur suggestion...
waiting for ur valuable suggestions...

Hi ameetzain !
This is not the only problem faced by you.....
You face problems with Nigerian buyers.
But i face with our Indian buyers.
I sell almost 60 items in a week.
Out of that, only 10 buyers are true buyers.
All other remaining ones are fraud.
With wrong contact details or they do not even care to reply.
This is the most negative point with eBay.
You can do one thing is, setup Buyer preferences.
In this section, you set constraints upto some level wherein you can avoid buyers like Buyers registered outside India canot bid on your products, Buyers with unpaid strike canot bid on your items, etc.....etc.....
Hope this information will by useful for you to some extent.
Thanks.
