eBay is effecting my code in Internet Explorer

Hey everyone I just wanted to post this to see if any of y'all had seen this before. I have searched google and the forums with no helpful results.

I create my listings using Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 then copy/paste the code to eBay. The listing in question is full of tables.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=260092861281&rd=1&rd=1

I previewed it in Firefox and IE 6 and 7. The listing looked fine. However, when I posted the auction it looks fine in firefox, but looks really funky in IE 6 and 7. Something in eBay's code may be conflicting with my code whenever viewed in IE, but I can't figure out what and how to fix it.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I had no problem viewing your listing. However, I don't know whether the layout is the one intended by you. I know little about web designs. Still I don't think the problem , if any, is due to ebay codes. I think, to reduce problems you have to check whether its compatible with the major browsers. Also check the screen size. It may seem nice in a high resolution screen but get distorted in one using lower resolutions. .

Hi,
Hi try running the HTML from dreamweaver through a validation service.
http://validator.w3.org/
and validate it against HTML 4.01 Transitional. You will find all the errors in your code.
Also you can cleanup HTML using dreamweaver.

On ebay try using semantic markup with css and Keep the web clean 🙂
