Winner of the Community Award on eBay.in

Hello Community Members,

We take great pleasure in announcing the first eBay.in Community Award Winner.

While identifying the winner, we looked for eBay members who exhibit the eBay Values and make substantial contributions to the eBay Community. These contributions range from helping other eBay members on Discussion boards to providing suggestions and constructive feedback that is valued by the community and eBay.

More specifically, we looked at the number of posts the user has made, the regularity of posts, and the content of the posts for relevance and helpfulness.

The winner for the first eBay.in Community Award is user booker.in. Ever since the launch of ebay.in, booker.in has been one of the most regular users on the boards. You can find him hanging around the books, movies and music board or helping a community member on any of the other boards. Our hearty congratulations to him.

We will also like to give a special mention to the following users who were close runners up.

cellphonewala - one of the most experienced members of eBay.in, his suggestions and tips are always valuable.

tsange56 - One of the very first international user on eBay.in boards, who very actively helped out his Indian counterparts in understanding eBay during the early days of ebay.in.

taylor_in1 - A very active member of the affiliate community, who is always willing and happy to share his knowledge with his fellow affiliates.

We will like to thank all of you for your contributions to the eBay community and for helping make the eBay Community healthy and a fun place for all who visit eBay’s Community areas.

I've never dealt with the Community Award winner or the runners-up, but some time ago I browsed through the items offered by cellphonewala. By carefully reading between the lines of his item description and feedbacks received, I concluded that he must be one of the more genuine and knowledgeable sellers. I was gratified to see that he's one of the near-winners of the award.

Imagine my surprise when I tried to view his listings and found that he has none. Even more so to see that he's no longer a member. I believe this usually means that the seller's membership was suspended or cancelled. What happened ??
