Suggestion: Ebay should tie up with a leading courier

Dear Sellers,
As all of you are aware that we sellers face a lot of problems in shipping items. Some items are not accepted while on some items courier charges are high than the value of item being shipped.
My suggestion is that ebay ties up with a leading courier company and all sellers should use that courier service.
Benefits:
Ebay can negotiate a good price deal because of high volumes that courier co. will get.
Shipping charges will be low and consistent which will increase buyer's confidence in ebay.
Loss and damage complaints will be taken on priority by courier co as they would not like to loose a big client.

I invite all of you to give pros and cons of my suggestion. And overall how do you like my idea.

ebay have you not read the suggestion? please please tie up or take over a courier company it will boost our sales and your profits, can some body please forward this suggestion to the top management!

I think that the suggestion made by "JUSPREET" is very valid & sensible. It should be APPLICABLE TO BOTH BUYERS & SELLERS ON e-bay. NOT ONLY THAT e-bay CLAIMING TO BE WORLDWIDE ONLINE e-shopping ORGANISATION must have provided this SERVICE TO ALL REGISTERED MEMBERS IN THE FIRST PLACE BECAUSE ITS NOT ONLY THAT YOU BUY & SELL ON A WORLDWIDE ORGANISATION BUT ALSO TO SEE THAT THE TRANSACTION BETWEEN THE BUYER & THE SELLER IS PUT THROUGH TO THE SATISFACTION OF BOTH THE MEMBERS CONCERNED & WITHIN REASONABLE COST FOR THE PRODUCT BOUGHT OR SOLD.

hello jaspreet you gave a good suggestion but there would be a problem as we have seen tht ebay would not going to be tie up with a local courier or national courier it is going to tie up with an international courier like blue dart then charges would be very high and there is one more thing as some of our item we sell at re. 1 then we won't be able to sell it at re 1 because courier chrages would be fixed am i right guys

here we are talking about ebay India. if ebay can work in India they can also tie up with a leading Indian courier company. Moreover the tie up should not be bounding all the sellers. if you want you can use ebay's tie up with the courier company, if you don't want you can go with courier of your choice.
Some more benefits of the tie up
if there is a loss or damage in shipment we can force courier company to pay damages.
once shipped we should be able to upload the courier tracking no. this will not only help buyer in knowing that the item is shipped; it will help ebay also track if the seller has really sent the item. this will reduce 'item not sent dispute'

moreover if ebay makes it mandatory for seller to immediately fill the courier airway bill no. when he marks the item as shipped, this will make life simpler for buyer and ebay.
See we all want to sell and buyer confidence is major part in online selling.
if buyer feels comfortable , he will buy more.
tying up with a courier co will reinforce buyer's confidence that ebay is taking care of buyer's and buyer doesn't always has to rely on the seller only.
he'll have confidence from ebay India
