You have to convert the image format top jpeg.

I suggest you crop, resize and/or compress your images by using Irfanview or another image editor click.

http://www.zoicks.com/irfanview.htm

http://www.auctionorbit.com/tutorials/irfanview/index.htm

I use Irfanview all of the time. It's easy to use, works great, and best of all is free. Here's a good tutorial or using it:

http://www.indeavors.com/resources/tutorials.htm

Here's an online resizing site. It's pretty easy to use:

http://www.photosize.com/

Here is an online service to make it quick and easy to modify graphics, pictures or any image file. This free editor will reduce the size of pictures and place a smaller copy on your computer for uploading: Imagetweak.net.

http://www.imagetweak.net/

The Gimp is a free photo editor which can be downloaded from www.gimp.org and for information on how to use it to crop and resize try:

http://www.erns-eporium.co.uk/images_files/compress.htm

Read

for more info and examples where you can see the differences between uncompressed and compressed.

Also, you will find these pages to be very helpful.

You might try some of these solutions which have worked for many.

http://www.boomspeed.com/hpg/PicLoadProbsHTML.html
http://www.auctionflash.com/pichelp.htm
Using a free image hoster should help you load your photos. I use www.imageshack.us for my photo hosting, information and help for using an image hoster can be found here:

www.erns-eporium.co.uk

Try a free host such as http://web2k.co.uk if interested.

Here are links to two of photobucket's tutorials for using hosted images on eBay.

http://tutorials.photobucket.com/tutorial_42.html
http://tutorials.photobucket.com/tutorial_50.html

Sounds to me it's time for those that can't get eBay picture hosting to work for them, to change to another host. Click here to learn how to add images to an auction with HTML code and with Web image hosting:

http://www.zoicks.com/addingimages.htm

I simply bypass eBay's picture services and use my own webspace. It is time to learn to put pictures in your auctions by using a host. A few advantages: Absolute control over quality including size and detail, Much better, clear pictures, Add as many as you want in each auction, Lower costs - as little as zero, Placement anywhere within your description, Add more pictures when you have bid(s), No eBay downloads required, and Pictures can be removed upon auction close. Now's the time to learn to host your own pictures.

http://cgi3.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=mr_plopster#pic

I have also been using Photobucket for quite some time. They offer free or paid hosting. I haven't had any problems. There's some good info on here:

http://cgi3.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=purpleangel_d

Here's a list of web hosts:

http://bulls2.com/indexb/freeservers2.html

To have multiple free images you need to use an external image hoster. The one I use is photobucket. As well as this you will need to use the HTML option when creating the auction listing, there is information about doing this here:

Image format should be a .jpg or .gif or jpeg. Change them with an image-editing program.

Are uou a Mac user? Did you look into garagesale? it's a listing program for macs. I like it so far.

It is time to learn to put pictures in your auctions by using a host. You will need an FTP that works with the Mac to upload your images to your host site. One such program is Fetch and go can get info on it here:

Open the paint brush program.

Now click on file then open > choose the image you are trying to load on ebay

once the image is open now

click file >> save as >> rename the file as >> newfile.jpg

that's it
