I have a supplier in India that I would like to have
his samples sent to me. I am paying for the samples
and shipping charges, however he wants my DHL or Fedex
acct# to send air. I checked with the costs of going
with SAL at India's post office and they are about
$20.00 usd verses $240.00 usd thru air courier. The
box being shipped only weighs 900 gm and value is $25.00
so cost effective would be SAL. Is there a way I can
prepay and have samples picked up so supplier will
consider shipping this way as not to inconvenience him?
Thank you for any consideration to this post.

Prepayment for pickup would create unncessary complications. Customs etc would mean more hassle.
I would suggest you to ask your supplier to use speedpost(EMS). It will cost max INR 900(22 Dollars). It is afe and fast (takes around 7-10 days). Moreover you can also track the package at the Indiapost & USPS tracking site.
Here is the link :

Private couriers tend to be expensive here in India unless you have a corporate(bulk order) account with them.
Hope this helps.
