New Paisapay Changes - Nightmare for International Jewellery Sellers

Hello!
As described by Ebay team - the New PaisaPay changes - A Buyers' Delightful experience, it becomes a nightmare for Genuine Big sellers specially Jewellery.

We ship Jewellery worldwide and in India this can be done only through Speed Post except a few big couriers like Fedex which has offices in Jaipur and Delhi only.
This is our experience, noemally it takes 10-15 days to deliver but in 30 to 40% cases, it take 45-50 days. It is true no parcel is lost but delivery is late because most of the ime customs take much time to clear.

As per new norms, 21 days is permitted to deliver, after that seller will have to ask for time extension & it is upto the buyer to accept or not. Our concern is, after despatch, it is beyond control of seller to control the movement. If the item is not reached, Paisapay will refund the money and if after few days the item reaches buyer, who will compensate for it. I have raised this question several times but very trickily the answer is avoided by Ebay team. Sapana has also suggested to adopt other Payment option than PaisaPay.

If no satisfactory solution is provided, we have decided to down most of the high value items keeping only low value items from where we started our Ebay Journey three years back.

New Paisapay Changes - Nightmare for International Jewellery Sellers

Hi,

Same case here. A most recent case with me. I have shipped a Jewellery item by Registered Airmail (as no other option is available) to a buyer from UK. The buyer received the item on 39th day due to delay by Postal Service. She had paid with Old PaisaPay so there was no dispute among us. The buyer is happy with the purchase and has left a Positive Feedback.

If she would have paid thru New PaisaPay then just think over the situations.

Now 7 of my International buyers have paid thru New PaisaPay and I have sent all of them Time Extension Request. One of them has approved, the second has declined and rest of them have not responded. The International buyers are not aware of this system and they only receive Time Extension e-mails, there is no New PaisaPay section available for them instead they have PayPal (a hassle free payment gateway).

A lot of awareness is required to buyers. Jewellery is a fast moving item on eBay. eBay should consider this issue at the earliest. Nobody in eBay is ready to listen to this matter and solve it.

Regards,

Dear skygiftworldwide,

We have raised this issue at many point of times but all answer-givers instead of thinking of solution, evaded cleverly and sometime gave funny and worthless answers.

We are serious sellers selling high value jewellery items with 100% Customer satisfaction. No hesitation to say - we will have to switch over to initial stage where we started with Rs 100 - Rs 500 per item and margin was also good in gemstones. Now we are selling 22/22k Gold items which are very few in Ebay because margin is very low.

What a funny clause - If the buyer donot reply of your extension mail, donot despatch item. Practically it should have been-- if buyer donot reply, he has no objection. In Jewellery, many times items are prepared after the payment is confirmed. In the new scenario, if the buyer donot accept extension, the money will be refunded.

After shipment. seller will start praying Almighty God for early delivery otherwise he might be trapped. Money will be refunded, product will also delivered after few days. In Ebay, we have seen, many expert chit buyers always use these loopholes to deceive sellers.

Under the situation, we have no other option than to down all items except low value high margin items.

I think Ebay also want to implement this.

Thanking You,
God Bless All Sellers and save from these Draconian and Tughlaki Farmans of Ebay.

New Paisapay Changes - Nightmare for International Jewellery Sellers

Hello,
I am afraid to sell high value items now on ebay as it can be total loss to me because of new paisapay policy.I as a seller find myself very helpless as all protection is only for buyers.

Well few days back I had received an order from a buyer,The buyer had paid and I had sent the item to him and also entered the shipping details.

Today he had given me positive feedback confirming the receipt of the item but he had not confirmed the receipt of the item in Paisapay.

The buyer is not new to ebay but still he is not at all aware about new paisapay policy.I had also messaged him to confirm the receipt in paisapay but still no response from him.He must be thinking I had provided feedback then what is the need of confirming it again in paisapay.Seller's money will be with paisapay for no fault of him/her.

I feel lucky as it was just a small order, but What can happen if it would been a case of high value item?

Also almost 4.5% is too much as paisapay charges as I sell high value items and it will forced seller to either stop selling high value items or increase price of the item.

eBay should always remember that buyers are coming to eBay as they are getting good service from sellers and also price must be reasonable otherwise buyers have many other option.

Best Regards,
Deep Agarwal.

Hello
This is acetrade1. We sell mainly electronic items on e.bay. When the new paisapay was started I had asked only 1 question. When will the sellers payment be released. I had got a reply that payment will be automatically transferred to my a/c on the 5th day unless the buyer says item not received. If the buyer does not post a reply payment will be tranferred to my a/c. Now I find that for items shipped from 11th dec onwards no payment has been released and no mail from ebay. I have already shipped items worth about Rs 1,20000 . Only 1 buyer has left a positive feedback and i have received mail that this payment will be released in the next payment cycle. Now where did this question of payment cycle spring from. Iam sincerely begining to have a very big doubt about the intentions and stop uploading or shipping completely till my payment are released on time. Ebay are you listening. we need answers.

New Paisapay Changes - Nightmare for International Jewellery Sellers

HI,
ALL OF YOU ARE THINKING ONLY IN TERMS OF BUYERS HONESTY, I HAVE A PROBLEM THAT I SENT A VALUABLE PHILATELY ITEM BY REGISTERED POST TO USA, WITHIN 45 DAYS THE BUYER LODGED A CLAIM HE HAS NOT RECEIVED THE ITEM AND ASKED FOR A REFUND. DEPSITE GIVING ALL THE DETAILS OF ITEM BEING SENT BY REGISTERED POST AND THE COMPLAINT LODGED WITH POSTAL AUTHORITIES, HIS REFUND IS APPROVED.
THIS IS A SCAM IN THE MAKING BECAUSE ONCE INTERNATIONAL BUYERS COME TO KNOW THAT INDIA POST HAS A VERY POOR RECORD OF RETURNING PROOF OF DELIVERY TO THE ORIGINAL DISPATCHER ALL HE HAS TO DO IS SAY THAT HE HAS NOT RECEIVED THE ITEM AND CLAIM A REFUND
THE SELLER JUST GRIN AND BEAR THE LOSS....

New Paisapay Changes - Nightmare for International Jewellery Sellers

Dear Tazu123 and Fellow Ebayers,

I agree with the concerns shared by Yazu123. I came across many books in foreign countries specialising Ebay selling tactics. Some buyers are always there to cheat with the use of loopholes remains in the Ebay system. We have also victim of this twice. Nowadays, Ebay is full of loopholes and any scrupulous buyer can cheat any seller by planning.

We were forced to minimise our International listings for this. All new actions of Ebay of decreasing International Fee listings becomes neutralised by wrong policies of Ebay.

Dear,
I agree with yazu123.
This is a very very disturbing trend.
The sells are low and crook buyers are after us.
My 17 items have remained unpaid.
God knows what is coming.

Dear yazu123,
You may submit the indiapost receipt for registered airmail to international buyer in lieu of POD for items below INR2500 under a few conditions.

This relief is very much suitable for HOBBIES AND COLLECTIBLES cat.
