Hi,
No need of any license if you mention it as a gift on a parcel. Also you can check with Speed post i.e. is cheapest service provider only for international shipments.

@Mustafa,
If you are shipping outside the country once in a while, say once or twice in a year. then you do not need any IEC (Importer Exporter Code). However if you shipping frequency is more than that; you certainly do. I am sure you wouldn't like your stock lying and rotting in customs.
Also, when you apply for IEC, make sure you are aware of the harmonized codes of the products you intend to ship outside the country. It is always advisable to mention the harmonized codes of the items you plan to export out of the country while seeking IEC. As it helps in quick customs clearance.
You can apply in person or online or through your C.A. for IEC with the DGFT (Director - General of foreign trade) it takes max 14 working days to get the IEC. Cost of Application form for obtaining the IEC is Rs 1000.00 only. your agent or CA might charge you more than that, as they include their consultation in the total cost. You must have a company current account to apply for IEC and your export payments must come in the same current account.
There is subsidy as well on the export of few products, get in touch with your CA for the same.
