Hi,
I think usually bazee team would have taken care that sellers are indeed here for selling and with some credentials. But that requirement would be the most basic indeed and cannot be relied on. I guess its our responsibility in knowing what we are biiding for. It may be too much to ask bazee to ensure each and every seller is genuine or selling genuine stuff. They just provide the platform for transactions to happen with some elementary checks. They will utmost blacklist the seller if he's tricking people but nothing much. so the onus is on you to double check the trust factor of a seller based on his reviews. Since you have already made the bid you have to honour the terms and cannot do anything but request the seller to cancel you bid.
But we have to agree that speaking in general people in India lack business ethics.
Better be careful when making a purchase next time by asking poeple who have brought from that dealer. In that sense this cafe forum can turn out to be very helpful.

And continuing my previous reply -going through your bid I will die laughing if I can get a nikon digital camera for Rs 3600. Its completely ridiculous that they dont have a min bid amount for such expensive products. maybe bazee should look into this.
If I may comment, we in India with some exceptions, still have not progressed to the extent that we can buy expensive goods online and trust them to arrive ontime, in good shape and the product being as promised.
