I made a purchase on 05/18/06 for item# 140015052020. I paid instantly through crdt card. When I purchased, the item was available ( 2 no.s). Later on when I did not receive the item, I contacted the seller through mail and i was told that the product has been discontinued. What was the product doing on the listing up to August 6th, 2006 when it was discontinued? Does this mean that before making a purchase, all the buyers need to make sure in some way or other that the product might be discontinued. This is ridiculous. I have lost faith on eBay.I was even offered 4X CD pack for the Rs.106 that I had already paid. I had agreed to 10 nos. so why do I need to agree to only 4 nos. So, I denied. This is totally unproffessional and unfair. EBay needs to keep the promise made on the listing. Please reply.

Hello,
ebay doesn't have any control over the Seller's inventory.
ebay just provides a system for buying and selling along with built in safety factor.
Sometimes Sellers with huge inventory miss out to inactive a particular Item which has gone out of stock.
Although, once sold , it becomes a liability of Seller to provide that Item to the Buyer. But Both, the Buyer & Seller can coordinate to sort out such a situation, amicabily.
best regards
Umang Midha .
