What happens if I suspect Shill Bidding but have won the auction? Is there a post-op investigation? Can I refuse to pay COD?

Hello editexec,

Thank you for bringing up this issue, we need more users like you on our platform.

There are two things which I would like to answer.

1) A user can automatically increase their bids with the facility of Proxy Bidding

2) If you find any body shill bidding on items then kindly report it to Contact Us
Select

1) Ask about bidding or buying
2) Problem with Seller
3) Seller is bidding on his or her own items

This will help us take appropriate action

From the reply I have got from the eBay support team I am very much clear that thre's actually no effective monitoring of SHILL BIDDING by eBay.

Proxy bidding, as per the eBay rules, say: This means you don't have to keep coming back to re-bid every time another bid is placed.

But when there's no bidding by any other member, yet the price in jacked up by rebedding -- as I pointed out by Rs 6000 in NINE minutes. And when contacted, eBay support team comes back with the message that there's no SHILL BIDDING.

That's when doubt creeps in about the eBay policies and effective implementation.
