I am new to ebay. I bought one Camera Lucida by paying Rs.4205.00 (inclusive of 12.5% tax and Rs.200.00 as delivery charges). I have received the shipment, but surprisingly the WayBill that has been sent along with the shipment shows its value at Rs.300.00 only. Why I have been charged Rs.4205.00 for an item having value of Rs.300 only. It seems that I have been cheated as the sent item is also not worth more than Rs.250-300, for which Rs.4205.00 have been charged from me.

Hi,
You may ignore the way bill value as some sellers regularly declare items at much lower values to reduce shipping related hassles and documentation.
Check your item and compare it with the market price to know if its priceworthy. Hope you will find that you have got a good deal. .
Best Regards 😄

Sometimes items are lost or stolen by courier agents after seeing the declarred value of the shipment. Seller might have bad experience before and to safe guard your interest he has reduced the value in the AW bill.
