Its high time Ebay understands that they are in India...!!!
They have been driving sales with continuous ads in several channels, and seem to have lost foucs on building a knowledgeable and customer centric team. I am a regular online buyer and service experience with ebay has been the worst, to say the least. The escalation matrix is not though through, reps do not transfer the calls on matters of escalation. Looks like they need strong leaderhip will to make drastic change in their system.
Imagine a rep told me that ebay doesnt have a refund policy and reiterated the same till I was transfered to his supervisor. He claims to have been working with ebay since 1 & 1/2 years and that he is aware of all the policies of ebay. Imagine while you are put to the superviosr he starts giving you a solution, without listening your concern. He has a preconceived notion on what your problem could be...!!! Waaw...
Now there is a senior official who is not willing to transfer the call to his boss. And there is a boss (Name never disclosed) who is afraid to speak to customers...he justs stands besids his senior supervisors and listens to calls, thats it !!!
And there is a grevience number that is provided *** who never picks up call and all the calls (this is not a toll free number) go to voice mail. Thats all is the service that you can expect from ebay folks...
So ultimately, you do not have a solution, because no one would have given their ears to your problem.
