Hello,
Can anyone please tell me if PAYPAL IS LEGAL?

I mean when we do export from Post Office they ask for FIRC/PP FORM.

But while getting payment via PAYPAL we do not get any such certificate.

I want to start international Selling and want to ship items through EMS.

Can please kindly tell me how to do export and how to clear the problem of proof of receiving payment( i.e. FIRC/PP Form).

Your help is highly appreciated and I hope I will get details guidelines.

I have IEC Code already.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

No one is discouraging anybody.... it's all about finding the thruth so that we can trade with the International ebay Community with much more vigour.

ebay says PaisaPay is legal but never says whether the procedures folled by Sellers are legal or not.

eBay is not equipped to give legal advice to sellers. (Refer post no.4)

I am trying to get some legal advise and hope to find the truth. .

Hello Amitava,

What ever you have achieved is purely through your devoution & hard work.

Yes, Community Boards always prove to be a better support than Customer Support.

I also started with ZERO knowledge and gained quite a lot by visiting the Community Boards regulary.

What surprises me is ..... that non of the Experienced Sellers who are selling Internationally are here to guide on this thread. .

Receiving Payments from International Buyers,Please HELP URGENT ?:|

Hello Friends,
I am very shocked as there are no reply from paisapay/eBay on this issue.(This is making the things doubtful)

When I receive foreign payment through Swift Transfer,The bank issue the FIRC to me.

So when I receive the payment through Paisapay then Paisapay should also issue me the FIRC Certificate.
I will not mind if Paisapay charge any additional amount for the FIRC but atleast issue FIRC to the sellers.
We seller bear the Paisapay charges for payment through Credit Card and Online Bank Transfer.

So I hope this time there will be some meaningful reply from eBay to this issue, which will direct address the FIRC.(No round & round reply desired)

With Regards,
Deep Agarwal.

Hi Deepji,
If it is a matter of confirmation of receiving dollars, no harm giving a certificate. I think ebay will give if you ask for that.
Rupee is also a very strong currency. In old times ,I have seen my friends going to Dubai or Bangkok with a bundle of 100 buck notes. In those days, 500 Gandhi was not there and dollar was scarce. 1 100 buck was worth some 8 or 10 dollars. Now-a-days I hear pple talking dollars.
But there is dollar everywhere today . There are less takers. Days have changed so much.
Thanx,

Dear AmitavaJI,

On your words "If it is a matter of confirmation of receiving dollars, no harm giving a certificate. I think ebay will give if you ask for that"

I strongly hope that your words come true.I told earlier that I even ready to pay any charges for FIRC.

Well lets hope that Paisapay reply atleast now.

Hello,

This is what an RBI Expert has to say on the following question :-

I am planning a ecommerce site for export of products from India. Most of the products are priced less than INR 500. I will be using Indian post for shipping. Please tell me if it is ok for me to receive money in INR for exporting the above goods.

Sale proceeds of all export of goods from out of India shall be received only in foreign currency, except in limited situations like export to Nepal, Sri Lanka etc. You may contact bankers for further procedures on the above. .

Hi indconcepts,
Let us consider a case somewhat like this.
A man met a Canadian boy in a beer pub. He paid for a sitar and asked to ship to Canada. You know the packing norms. It had to be less than 1.5 m, securely packed by thermocole etc.
What happens next? What will RBI do here?
If 'Mian bibi raji to kya karega kazi?'
We are not living in an autocratic set up.
This is democracy.
We not smuggler.
We just earn 2 bucks by honest selling.
Even if a non ebay seller gets paid by spot dollar, he will just go to a money exchanger, thats all. Why you know? He cant buy rice and dal with dollars.
That is what we doing here, getting paid by INR.
A male folk has to earn dear money by hard work. RBI will not feed him or his wife and children.
Here the picture is different. RBI will not be able to touch any ebay or ebayer. This is one of the strongest international community. We dont do illegal stuff here.
Thanx,

Hello Amitava,

Whatever you have said is true to the last point.

But 'Laws of the Land' has nothing to do with the 'Facts of Life'.

I am only trying to know the 'Laws of the Land'.

Large Scale business cannot flourish without this knowledge. .

Hello,

I beleive a FIRC can only be issued by a bank and since PaisaPay or Paypal is not a bank as defined by the law in India, they cannot issue a FIRC.
