Prices on EBAY

Hi it seems, ebay has lost its lowest price tag. We can now find prices in open (Local) market lower then, further ebay is not issuing any new discount coupons. It seems it is time for me to switch from ebay.

One more great thing about ebay, whatever you write no one will respond to you.

Point why Prices on eBay are increasing-

1- Sellers's remmitance is getting delayed almmost everytime. That money for credit ultimately has to be paid by customers.

2- eBay's fees- FVF's , Paisapay , listing fees, and now fees for even participation in DOD, everything adds up to the final price.

3- Increase in air surcharge- All courier companies have increased air surcharge to about 15-21% in total this has increased shipping charges by another 5-10 Rs.

4- Disount Coupons - Funding from .com is stopped I guess.

I 100% agree with ashishmaheswari. The items even branded are getting cheaper in even medium type urban places. Unless some action is not taken Slowly the buyers are loosing interest. Also the resolution of problems become slow.

I think you will not get warranty on Chinese products in local market but that you are getting here. That is main benefit to the buyer as per me.

Thanks

I agree- today I recieved an item (HCL iPod Nano skin/cover) for Rs. 199 (excluding shipping) thinking it was a fine price. When I recieved the item, the packaging showed the MRP was Rs. 150. However I could not find that item anywhere else- I guess this is the price we pay for convenience 😞

Prices on EBAY

This is not so, it variably depends from products to products & sellers to sellers.
I was personally selling Milton Thermosteel 1000ml for some Rs 589. The item have an Mrp of Rs689.
Sold item did came with 1year warranty & bill.

Still ill say Final Value Fee, Listing Fees & now daily deal fees is really diverting Traffic to other websites, which was quite evident in last few weeks.

Always calculate goods on TCO criteria, like if i buy a cheap stuff from local market, here is the thing, have to waste 1 hour haggling and looking into the market, spend atleast 30 to 40rs , that is the minimum auto or taxi or any personal vehicle expenditure of fuel, come depriciation of vehicle cum servicing involved, per visit to market, other cost, like because i had to roam in market will have to go in for a pepsi or soda added cost is 10rs again.

Or say mineral water, thus costing of the goods has gone by 1.5 hours plus in cash 50rs.please note all purchases in local market are in cash mostly black, cannot be accounted for taxation purposes, and also time is not taken into consideration by tax authorities as spent... 😉

Now how do you value your time, you work for 8 hours and get paid 500rs a day or say 1000rs rupees a day and list goes on, so divide your time by say total two hours, if your day salary is 500rs, now its 60rs worth of your time if you have a salary of 500rs per day. if you are jobless, then also the added time or extra money spent on fuel will surely get calculated.

And on top if the goods from after market are not good or donot work, the vendor will shun you away, saying, itne paise mein itnaich milega.... kinds, so again more time lost, and entire value of goods lost.

Now compare this scenario for any kind of goods brorught from ebay tomorrow if you dont like a 100 bucks t-shirt or mobile acessory the vendor on this forum, will give you full support, and ebay too, with guarantee claims and all, also you can pay all your bills in credit card, or debit card, thus the value becomes white.((people spend loads of money just to get their expenses from black to get converted into white)

Also no magajmari of carrying small change along, or giving the autowala a tip, or anything, everthing comes home, and if you invest the time spent in market trying to get goods cheaper, which really on total cost added are expensive , you spend the most important comodity which can never be earned again, and its limited quantity and life time oppurtunity " TIME """.

The time spent can be utilised,on bettering your lifestyle or making relations with your loved ones better, or even relaxing or praying to god, and let the dirty work of procurement, and loss of good lifestyle be given to your ebay vendors, paying 50 -60 bucks more for this kind of leisure and luxury , only the ebay members can have, so guys consider yourself lucky, you know how to save the most precious thing in your life, i.e, time by just giving a few bucks extra, and with assurance of good quality.

If you utilise the ebay knowledge properly, you will find the best deals, as some-one or the other vendor is undercutting his goods means selling goods at no profit or direct losses, for starting his new business on ebay, that is the oppurtunity to buy for the buyers.

So keep your eyes open for such deals, and searching on ebay is much simpler and more proper then roaming in vehicles on dusty market roads, with half-baked spoken english of vendors, who never seem to look at you, while you are asking, and have to cajole them for each and everthing.

On ebay the buyer is the king, he gets world-class customer service too, from educated sellers, and good after sales, now after all my comparision its again at the end the buyers choice, as they say " One can bring a horse to the pond, but cannot force him to drink, " 🙂
