Postage Issues

There seems to be nothing like reasonable postage, shipping and handling on eBay. Sellers charge whatever they like and in the end, the loser is the buyer, because you pay more and the seller is pocketing the money. eBay needs to put a cap on this situation.

Postage Issues

@zkab6900...

There is already a cap in place set by ebay for max shipping charges which a seller can charge, surprising part is that being a seller yourself you are not aware of it.

Postage Issues

We sellers have only 2 options to select - local courier(delivery within seller's city) & National courier(delivery outside seller's city). For eg: i am in chennai, assuming a buyer from arunachal pradesh / nagaland buys one of my product worth 1 kg, to send 1 kg parcel to north eastern states it costs us Rs.100-120 per Kg, where as if a buyer from Andhra / Karnataka buys my product worth 1 kg, it will cost me only 30-40rs. But on the safer side, we have to list the higher shipping fee to not make loss of ourselves in shipping.

With eBay's newly launched powership, we are forced to increase the shipping charges. Because for every 500gms, they charge us Rs.30/- for local shipping & Rs.40/- for national shipping and they collect Rs.2 as packing material fee and our documentation process have increased so much with powership. But eBay uses powership for tier I & II cities only, but not for interior cities / villages and divert us to use our Local LP. This is very unfair.

We sellers are happy with the profit we earn on our product and not interested to earn in shipping charges too, we are forced to charge more on the shipping because of the above mentioned reasons. Hope buyers understand this.
