Pathetic Experience with buying over Ebay India compared to other sites.

I think you people at ebay don't use your own website. Its a frustrating experience !!

Unavailability of directly talking to customer support agent : I can't even reach you . You have a fixed set of options and you don't have an option have 'other' or option that' my question is not in this list ' If you review, under buying section there is no such option ! after which I should be directly be able to get in touch with customer support,on chat or send direct mail , sorry but its frustrating. If you think your options are detailed it not enough as a customer with high expectations.

Unavailability of customer support for chat , there are no agents available for 'chat' session based communication.

When your number is dialed form landline it says “ All lines are busy call later “.

BTW another Input. Sellers should have mobile numbers listed by all means. India is not a country of Emails and you can’t trust sellers here( not all ). You ask them what is the shipping status , they say 'sir we will process it soon' as excuse and you keep waiting for 3-4days before they even ship it out , most of the time product takes a more than a week to reach in metro’s.

Last time when I ordered, paid money, the seller gave excuse that they just list items it might not be in stock . If its not in stock we will refund money. Its stupid to have products listed which you are unsure of availability.

Now in my next buying experience , seller is delaying shipping and I can’t even access the contact details of my seller , like Mobile number. I have to depend soley on email messages which is slow.

I was hoping India ebay to do good. But Sorry to say its pathetic , as a customer its painful and frustrating. If these low quality experiences continue I will not buy on ebay and go to a local shop or buy from more responsive sites like flipkart , rather buy online on ebay with poor service.

Even if you connected also you don’t get any support from customer support. Don’t try to call and waste your time. I am calling customer support from past 15 days for my claim and conversation goes for hours…no action..they do nothing.

Better don’t buy things…and tell every body not to buy from eBay..

Well when I buy any item from Ebay I receive a order confirmation email which has seller name, mobile number and email address. Check your junk email folder also. I have bought more than 30 items on Ebay. I had to apply for refund twice and got it without much issues.
I hope your issue is resolved.

Somehow ebay quality is getting poorer day by day.
May be they are applying the paypal logic,after aquiring paypal.Keep issues and problem alive and hold the money of sellers and buyers.The more they keep the money, the more they get interest and benefits. I know many paypal account holders struggling to get their payments cleared. An account which work with a PAN card for years, all of a sudden require another verification for PAN.There are many other similar dramas.
Slowly ebay is loosing the customer confidence. Earlier I used to look only at ebay for my purchases.Today ,I compare at least 5 better sites,where you get amazing customer support.Earlier ebay used to give 10% or higher discount coupons.Now even for Diwali they give 5% coupon. :LOL:.

I'm sure ebay saw its peak in India, and now slowly going downwards.

Overall : The seller did ship the product, I had to write a stinker mail to him.

Folks , ebay either is too overwhelmed with the sudden rush of customers , or the management is not bothered about improving the customer service.

Well let wait and see how ebay unfolds


For now filkart buying experience is a delight compared to multi vendor selling experience from ebay.

I have purchased many items in the past from eBay and never faced any issue. I got invariably a mail with details of seller's phone number and email address.

Also, if you pay by PaisaPay there are timelines fixed by eBay on site like by which date seller has to ship the item. If the seller does not ship by that date and post the tracking number in site, payment is automatically refunded to buyer. Likewise after shipment, seller has to ensure delivery of the item within a fixed date else money is not refunded.

If you had noted the various milestone dates in your MY PAISAPAY, the stinking mail would not have been written in the first place by you. These dates are as per set rules of site.

Regarding eBay Guarantee scheme, please see the site. It is mentioned that return will be effected within 20 days. So please wait for 20 days, before complaining.

Let us work towards improve eBay rather than condemning it

First time bought a product from eBay on 19/09/11. It's end of 06/10 now and product has not been delivered yet. The seller Clickbuy said they sent the product again as it was broken on 26th itself. Yet after so many days and so many follow ups with the seller and BlueDart, no info about the product. Frustrating & absolutely ridiculius service. even found a product from their email stating 36% off to be a fake with no buying option.

Pathetic experience with eBay. Will tell whomever possible not to buy anything from here..:-(

I had a worst experience on ebay.In my return policy I had clearly mentioned that the buyer should return the product within 7days,plus the return shipping should be paid by the buyer.The product would be exchanged.The buyer shipped the product after 7days,than forced me to send courier charges,for which I compensated by giving her a free product.Purposely did not give me consignment number,courier got delayed.I kept on calling her.The buyer asked for a refund.Plus gave me a negative feedback that I went on disturbing her on phone day and night.
