Hello apnservices,

As you are probably aware, eBay India already has a payment service called 'PaisaPay' which facilitates online payments via credit cards and online bank transfers. We are currently in the process of working on enhancements to our existing solution to improve the Buyer and Seller user experience. To your question on PayPal, you may be aware that PayPal is a subsidiary company of eBay.com Inc. which is independently managed and constantly evaluates expansion into various countries. Our understanding is that PayPal does not have immediate plans to enter India.

Dear megapower_india,

Yes, it is an area of concern that some sellers are charging extremely high shipping charges for auctions starting at Re. 1. Buyers are dissatisifed with this.

We will shortly be introducing a policy on Shipping Charges by which we can take action against such sellers. We have created a new merchandising property called 'Hot Selling' which has the exact filter of minimum 2 bids that you have suggested. One of the reasons we have not applied this filter to 1 Paisa Auctions is so we could actually display items starting at Re. 1 to buyers who land on this section.

Our marketing team is debating whether we should start charging for this property. What are your veiws about this?
Best Regards
Rajan

Dear vijay1653,

Thank you for your comments. We always look forward to hearing from our buyers, because many a times we tend to hear more from our sellers.

As a marketplace where we only provide a platform for our users to trade, it is almost impossible for us to inspect each and every product that sellers put up for sale. One way in which you can buy with more confidence on eBay is by checking on the feedback score and comments that sellers have received from other buyers. In addition, we have a Power Seller program. PowerSellers are sellers who are held to the highest standards of professionalism, having achieved and maintained an extremely high positive feedback rating and an excellent sales performance record.

Look for the PowerSeller icon next to your seller's User ID.

In the case that you received an item that is significantly not as described, you can Open an Item Not Received or Significantly Not as Described dispute. Buyers who are unable to resolve their concerns through the Item Not Received or Significantly Not as Described dispute process may then be eligible for reimbursement through eBay's Standard Purchase Protection Program.

You can read more details about these programs here

Item Not Received or Significantly Not As Described Policy - http://pages.ebay.in/help/policies/inr-snad-policy.html

Dear virendra_d89,

There might be some reason due to which the buyer wants his money back. I would encourage you to correspond with your buyer to understand the reason why he wants his money back. If it is a genuine reason, you might want to comply with the request.

Dear sastaitshop,

Yes, there is an issue due to which FVF credits, though granted, is not reflecting in the sellers invoice. This issue is affecting only a few sellers. We are aware of this issue, and our team is actively working to rectify this at the earliest.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you due to this and request your patience as we work towards fixing the issue.

Dear lnxreddy,

I regret the unpleasant experience you have had as a buyer. Clearly your expectations as a buyer are not unrealistic and it is our constant endeavour to improve the buying and selling experience for our community of users. We aim to make eBay the place where buyers can find the widest breadth of goods for the best price. Unfortunately, ocassionally due to the marketplace model that we have, some transactions do not go through smoothly. While this is rare, I fully understand your angst as a buyer and would encourage you to communicate with the seller. We find that such communication often results in the issue getting resolved without the need of intervention from eBay and the buyer and seller actually enter into many more subsequent transactions.

In case your issue is not resolved by communicating with the seller, you can claim for Purchase Protection under our Standard Purchase Protection programme.
Best Regards
Rajan

Hello joe_kochi,

Yes, it is possible for you as a buyer in India to buy from other eBay sites. However, you will have to check with the seller on the payment method. Secondly, you will also have to ensure that it is legal to import the item into the country of import and comply with any customs or regulatory issues.
Best Regards
