Non Paying Buyers making ebay experience Unforgettable.

As if the filing of unpaid items dispute and struggling to get FVF was not enough another ebay policy is making seller experience unforgettable.
Recently, I sold an item and the buyer never paid up, I filed an unpaid item dispute, but as the buyer was an experienced with ebay policies, he replied to upi that he no longer wants the item. So I closed the dispute and got FVF.
Then ebay did what it does the best, support buyers.
They removed the unpaid item strike of the buyer and then buyer gave me a negative feedback for an item which he never paid for. And the feedback was valid as buyer had replied to upi.
When I requested ebay for feedback removal, they say they cannot remove it citing their policies.
One valid question :
Why a buyer who never paid for the item is allowed to leave a feedback?
Anyone can come up with a new id buy something, no need to pay and then leave a -ve feedback to bring down a sellers reputation
I ask all the sellers to kindly post their views on this.

A buyer who gave you a negative has 22 rating and should be considered as reputed buyer... Normally experienced buyers doesn't leave negative without making payment. This doesn't mean that you have received the payment.

I have faced few issues with the PaisaPay. Buyer makes the order, pays through PaisaPay Online Bank Transfer. The Amount gets debited from his account and he thinks that payment has been made.

But we sellers don't get the amount (even not visible in pending balance) and no PaisaPay ID to follow up. So we assume that buyer has not made the payment..

This problem usually happens if the buyer is making payments through paisapay and has low speed internet connections.

Contact the buyer over phone (if possible) or through email. Has he said in the feedback that he made the payment, Ask him to give the details of the transaction (from the bank which he paid through PaisaPay).

Also guide him to contact the PaisaPay team so that the amount will be credited to you or gets reversed to him..

Tell him the exact issue and request for mutual withdraw.

If he has not paid and making fun of honest sellers, then he is not at all deserved to be in eBay Community.

Dear snrama,
thanks for your concern, but this buyer never paid and refused to pay. he even declined mutual withdrawal of feedback as he says he has two more ebay accounts through which he sells and he is a powerseller. after failing to resolve this dispute only i have posted it here.
Don't you think buyers have this undue advantage of leaving a -ve feedback even after not paying.

If the negative is given intentionally to spoil other's profile, then its unfair. If he tells so that he has 2 ids.. just mail all his mails sent to you to eBay and here in community boards.

The feedback might not go, but you should show the truth to eBay. ---------------

i am not aware of his other two ids. but after giving a negative feedback this buyer was boosting of his influence and two more powerseller a/cs I am trying to search which powerseller is selling similar items. Once i catch him I'll put his id's on forums

Since This Thread Is Turning Into A One Side Affair ... Let Me Post The Other Side Of The Story
The Day I Won The Item And Went To Pay , I Found That The Seller Is Suspended
Let me Know If There Is A Way To Pay To A No Longer A Registered User
I Did Not Need The Item 15 Days After I bought When The Seller Was Reinstated And requested The Seller To Execuse Me And Accomodate Since He Was At More Fault , But Seller Arrogantly Decided To Give Unpaid Striike Citing Loss Of Fees As the Reason ( loss of fees on a 5.00 rupee item !!) , I Told Him He Can recover Fee Without Giving Unpaid Strike As I Am Not A Rogue Player And Can Make Out From My feedback , But He Went Ahead And Gave Unpaid Strike ... As Simple As That ...
Now Who Tried To Be Bossy Is Very Clear .
I Have Never Dealt With Any Of My Buyers In Such A Way Even When They Are Newly registered , But Getting Such A Treatment Irked Me .. Thats All .... I Do Not Even Know Till Now Who The Seller Is , So This Is Not The Case Of Any Competition Or Rivalry... So Stop Trying To Make It Look Like ONE

Thanks for replying to this thread. If you are prompt, then don't worry. I feel that there was a miscommunication with the transaction. It may be any one from both of you. Let the matter be open.

Sellers should not give strikes to buyers when they say they need to cancel the order. If we give strikes for genuine buyers, then it will be insulting them. ---------------

he is true on his side of story but after i was reinstated, i contacted him and asked him to complete the transaction to which he replied through ebay on April 23rd that he will pay, which he never did. It is not a question of Rs. 5 but of ethics. The buyer clearly indicated that he will pay but still did not. He was just delaying the things.
About unpaid item strike, ebay has already removed his unpaid item strike and only after that he gave me a -ve feedback. So who is showing attitude is clear.
Moreover as told earlier for this buyer his account is of little importance since this is not his main ebay selling account.
My concern is not only with this buyer. My main concern is Why ebay allows non paying buyers to leave a feedback.
Can a non paying buyer rate a seller on these feedback counts.
1)Item as described. When the buyer did not complete the transaction how can he say how the quality of the item was.
2)Shipping. When the item was not shipped, how can a buyer rate a shipping experience.
3)Shipping and Handling Charges. Again for a transaction not completed how can a buyer rate on these counts.
Although this transaction is significant but what I am looking at is a buyer exploiting a loophole in ebay policy.
Don't you think this policy needs to be revised, so that sellers are not taken for a ride.
