Medals for sale on eBay India ??? Is it legal

eBay India has started a promotion MAGIC OF INDIA on home page . among many other regular collectable items in coins and notes category there is special space allotted for MEDALS and TOKENS . many sellers are selling acedemic ,sports and services medals .

I am curious to know is it legal and moraly correct to sell these items for open sale which are supposed to be earned by someone for his/her exceptional acheivment .
specially sale of service medals ???

Hi.

I would like to clarify on this issue.The medals on sale in my listing are not original/officially issued medals from the government.They are just plain replicas of the original medals.Generally surplus of the manufacturers.

These medals are freely available in the open market at normal prices.I think no person or family would sell it's medal for 50 or 100 rupees.Which are sold at Rs 199 or so on E-bay.

OK friend , At least kindly mention this on your listings that these are replicas , not the original medals , otherwise there will be no respect left for these medals in the eyes of a common man .

I was expecting a clarification from Indraneel also in this regards .
