What transactions are eligible for Detailed Seller Ratings?

Only buyers have an opportunity to leave Detailed Seller Rating’s. Detailed seller ratings will be available for all transactions that end after Detailed Seller Ratings become available and for any transaction that ended before Detailed Seller Ratings where the buyer has not yet left Feedback.

Where do I find detailed seller ratings?

To see detailed seller ratings for a member, go to his or her Feedback Profile page by clicking on the number next to the member’s User ID. The detailed seller ratings are located at the top right of the page. The table shows the seller’s average rating for each criterion, and the number of ratings they’ve received. Average ratings are computed on a rolling 12-month basis, and will only appear when at least ten ratings have been received.

Why aren’t my ratings showing up yet?

Detailed seller ratings will only appear when at least ten ratings have been received in the last 12 months.

How do I ensure that my buyers rate me highly on detailed seller ratings?

Detailed Seller ratings are mapped on 4 parameters – Item description, Seller Communication, Shipping Time and Shipping and handling charges. As a seller you can do various things to set buyers expectations on all the parameters.

Item Description
 Give as much details about the product as you can.
 Give 2-3 images from various angles, for it gives buyers a better idea of the product.
 List the exact color, size etc so that the buyer knows what he is buying.
 Consider sending a detailed manual that may help the buyer understand and operate the product.

Seller communication - Various sellers follow different practices to ensure smooth communication with the buyer.
 To ensure that your contact details are always handy for a buyer, you can include the contact details as your signature in all your mails.
 In your product description talk about the preferred contact time when your buyer may contact you or the time lag in which a buyer may expect a response from you. For ex – If you typically check your mail at night, mention in the product description ‘All mails received by 10 PM on the day are responded by 12 PM on the day’. All mails received after 12 PM shall be responded to within 24 hours.
 If you are a regular seller, and are online during all hours of the day, you may want to email your buyer a chat id, where he can get in touch with you in case of any requirements.

Shipping Time
 It is useful to set expectations right as to when a buyer may expect his parcel. For example - In the item description, include – ‘You may expect to receive the shipment within 4 days of your payment getting cleared’
 Once you ship the product, send a mail to the buyer that the product has been dispatched from xyz courier and the expected time for receipt of the product
 If the shipment is trackable on net, send the buyer the tracking number along with the link to courier company’s website. One seller I admire a lot in this field is http://stores.ebay.in/Kukusworld_W0QQsspagenameZL2222QQtZkm. It is a great way to help buyers track their delivery

Shipping and handling Charges:
Shipping and handling charges normally vary according to the courier you use. If you are using a courier which is expensive in nature, mention the same in your product description. This will give buyers a perspective on the shipping charges.
Since you shall be also including packaging charges, you may want to talk about the packaging you do to ensure a safe delivery of the product. Instead of adding these in your description, you can talk about the same in you’re my World page or Blog page and link it with your description. Regards,
