Issue - eBay.in Gaurantee Model

This is to provide a feedback on the service provided to me and to bring to your notice the gap in the so called “EBay Guarantee” offered by EBay and its employees.

I purchased a “item# 321061024613” on “19/02/2013” and was given an assurance that I will receive my item by “26.02.2013”. I got regular updates from eBay about the shipping of my item which were mostly incorrect. Finally I had to follow up with the vendors myself with similar vague information. Now as per the vendors “my item has already left the store and has been delivered to me” but none of the two has happened.

Finally I tried to work with eBay customer care; I worked with Mr. John (buying dept.)who again advised me to work with the vendors myself which is again not in accordance with the guarantee model that eBay claims to provide to its customer.

The kind of poor customer relationship that was offered is discomforting for the users. The false claims presented by eBay to its customers will be very harmful for the company’s brand name. I will make it a point to quote this example in most of my conversations and my official blog which is read by more than 3000 employees every day.

I have already initiated the process for my refund; please make sure that this process is completed within the timelines provided so save further degradation in company’s brand name.
