I am a regular customer at eBay and am very satisfoed with the general service.

However, recently, I came across instances where the product was not as described and shown on the screen. In few cases, the product was faulty and even after it was replaced through regular follow ups with the seller, the new one was again faulty.

I believe this is not good for eBay's reputation. Though, my money is secure due to PaisaPay system, the very fact that something a customer received through an eBay seller was faulty or not as shown, tarnishes eBays image.

I suggest there should be a separate column where the customer can immediately escalate such issues directly with eBay rather than following up with the sellers on his own.

Also, the sellers found selling old/faulty items or sending across items that are different from as shown, should be warned/barred for few days from eBay.

Once, when I did not get a product from a local shopkepper, I proudly told him that I will get it through eBay. He smirked by saying that eBay sells old items. This is the general image that is being created by local sellers as eBay is a tough competition. In such a scenario, there is even more need of ensuring quality of products sold through eBay.

Under this program the member is eligible for a complete refund / replacement within 30 days from the date of transaction. Under the guarantee program, eBay on your behalf would contact the seller to resolve the concerns like Item not received, Item significantly not as described etc.

Action is also taken against sellers whose listed items are repeatedly reported by members as Significantly not as described or faulty. This measure would ensure that such instances are reduced and the members have a seamless experience while purchasing on eBay!

Nishant,

No matter what Ms. Seema or anyone else may post here from ebay, it is written very well in their rules that Ebay does not provide any protection whatsoever for a product that has been replaced. So IF you buy anything from Ebay, and you find i faulty, claim for a refund. If you really need the product, buy it afresh.

Kindly advise can we extend the time frame for the supplier to supply the product, I was informed that as the product cannot be supplied by 1/05/2011, by GEB - 300547892255, there will be a refund made of the payment.

I do not mind waiting for some more time, can you please confirm if this is possible.

How long the the service of GEB &international reseller will be tolerated by genuine e bay buyers.The stereo type reply of e bay people will not console the buyer.How many examplary action taken against the International seller?Please be honest & do take some concrete steps to streamline the services of GEB,I2Cworld & international seller.
