I am a regular customer at eBay and am very satisfoed with the general service.
However, recently, I came across instances where the product was not as described and shown on the screen. In few cases, the product was faulty and even after it was replaced through regular follow ups with the seller, the new one was again faulty.
I believe this is not good for eBay's reputation. Though, my money is secure due to PaisaPay system, the very fact that something a customer received through an eBay seller was faulty or not as shown, tarnishes eBays image.
I suggest there should be a separate column where the customer can immediately escalate such issues directly with eBay rather than following up with the sellers on his own.
Also, the sellers found selling old/faulty items or sending across items that are different from as shown, should be warned/barred for few days from eBay.
Once, when I did not get a product from a local shopkepper, I proudly told him that I will get it through eBay. He smirked by saying that eBay sells old items. This is the general image that is being created by local sellers as eBay is a tough competition. In such a scenario, there is even more need of ensuring quality of products sold through eBay.
