I was supposed to get a philips head set as a part of the monsoon promotional offer. Even after six months, I have not received the gift. During the past 6 months, I made around 10 calls to the ebay consumer support, which provided me lackadaisical response and false promises and deadlines which were never met. During the last two calls, I was connected to Mr. Siddharth, who claimed to be a part of the promotional department. The person promised me the my issue will be solved within 15 days, and that I would receive a callback from his supervisor, giving me more details (this was on 29th of december 2012). I never received that call, and when I called back the custoer support after 15 days (ie. today), the same Mr. Siddharth, went back on his word and told me that he has not yet received a reply from the promotional team, and that the issue will be resolved by the month end. When I requested to be connected to the team that was dealing with the issue, I was denied stating that it was impossible.

From all this drama, it seems to infer that the entire ebay support team is bluffing with the customer, with somebody posing to be the promotion team, while he still has to mail somebody else to get the status of the promotional offer.

If this is the manner how things work in ebay, I will have to reconsider my opinion about ebay, and do my business with some other site like flipkart, etc
