I had ordered for (GEB - 200486410323 - BRAND NEW IN BOX UNLOCKED WHITE PALM CENTRO)
1. Despite my repeated requests for delivering the item in Mumbai instead of Kolkata & my mails & multiple telephonic conversations with i2cWorld member Meenal, the item was delivered in Kolkata on the 28th of September, 2010. I came to know of the same when I called up on 25th of September to be informed that the item has been shipped to Kolkata. However while Meenal politely told me she will get back to understand if the goods has returned undelivered or its current status, she never replied.
2. I had to make my own arrangements for getting it reached out to me in Mumbai.
3. I received the package in Mumbai & on opening the package, I noted that it was a refurbished phone & not a new one as claimed; I did not contain any manual, the battery showed signs of use & the phone was refurbished as against the advertisement which stated it to be a ‘Brand New’. The same could be verified from the packaging. The headset provided is not the original Palm headset but a chinese 2.5 mm one.
4. Last but not the least, even after charging the battery for the whole night, the phone has not started/powered on.
5. I spoke to Ms.Meenal of i2cworld today who asked me to send this mail. Hoping to atleast get my money back, I wrote to perhaps every channel that is available to buyers like us; email-spoke of responding within 48 hours but no calls received, chat forum-tried, would not disclose number of PaisaPay guys who are holding back the refund. One can never get across any EBay person in any way...seems like only a legal suit can help bring these matters to Ambareesh's notice.
This was my third purchase from i2cworld, but the first time when I requested for services, & nor were my requests attended to; I have been duped by sending me a refurbished phone instead of a Brand New Palm Centro as stated in the ad & hence requested for a full refund. However there is none to respond or entertain.
