After continuous follow up and complaining through various on-line channels I had received my money back from e-bay after 84 days after me returning the product back to the seller on the same day after receipt of the sellers address from e-bay. Could have been better if e-bay customer service team could have acted in a customer friendly manner rather than putting me to mental agony for three months.
I had to call up e-bay customer care almost every day and most of the days the line will get automatically disconnected after 25 Minutes. Though I have sent almost 15 mails for the same no response was given. I got two claim adjusters in between. For getting the money back I have spent a lot of money and time.
However it was a good learning experience. Given me a chance to browse on-line and identify thousands of consumer complaints against e-bay and the repeated cheating through e-bay. I am lucky to receive my money back.
I had a similar kind of experience recently! ebay customer service and vuying-selling authenticity is turning crap... they are a bunch of useless people attending to these!
@abinpjose_123... Since the amount was close to 10k, it is very important for eBay to verify every detail before taking a correct decision. Because once the money is paid to someone, be it seller or buyer, it cannot be undone.
My case is also same Rs.9400 but the resolution center and ebay guarantee had closed the case saying the item was as described, they didnt contacted me for any clarification or asked me before taking the decision.. By the way i have filed a case in consumer court and ebay had to pay me.... Bloody Cheaters ebay, i wont suggest anyone to buy above Rs.100 from ebay
@ spl_ind: The reason you said is B.S. If that is the case what prevented e-bay from informing me the same. Why no communication at all from e-bay. I believe that my continuous follow-up with ebay only helped me to get back my money.
If the amount is big for you, then for me also it is big. Almost three months my money was un necessary withheld by e-bay. I still don't understand why e-bay updated in my profile that the item was received by me before I received the product at all. I did'nt got a chance to confirm that the item received is not as described.

if your case is GENUINE every one will get their money back. all it takes is time. that I agree.
