Dear Team ,

I have recently purchased a projector costing 6999 rs ,My Pasapay id is (PaisaPay ID 32301833690I)
was not informed by ghargadgets that the product would be imported and sent directly to me .Now customs is asking me to pay an additional 2100 rs as the product was wrongly underinvoiced & tax for this product has not been paid by the seller .

Is this how it is to transact on paisapay .

Request your intervention in refunding my amount to my citibank account

I have examined your case that you had purchased item # 280971300822.

As per eBay policies, buyer pays the total amount at time of his order. (Except for the OCTROI charges which depends on State to State)

On 1 side, if u read the listing properly, in Shipping :You will see that Seller has mentioned "Customs, Octroi Charges & Service Tax: If applicable, to be paid by buyer to the courier." - (This goes against you)

On other side, Seller has also mentioned in Why Us : You will see "No Hidden costs. All prices are inclusive of tax." - (this goes in favor of you)

Seller should clearly state his policies very clearly. In this case, its not proper.

But as my knowledge, Except OCTROI, buyer should not be asked to pay anything by seller.

Even seller has no where mentioned that ITEM WILL BE SHIPPED FROM OVERSEAS

So, as per my understanding, you would be eligible for Complete refund.

I will suggest you to get in touch with seller, if seller is ready to pay the CUSTOMS amount, i do not think seller will. Because seller also needs the proof of CUSTOMS before seller pays you.

So, please contact eBay and refer them the details of your case, surely they will process your refund asap.

Dear Surender,

I know it is quite a frustrating experience. It is true that seller has not mentioned in the item description that item would be shipped from overseas and buyer has to pay customs duties. I would suggest you to communicate with the seller via eBay messaging system and ask him to get the issue resolved. In case your seller fails to provide satisfactory resolution, you can request for the buyer protection by visiting following link:

Dear Ebay & Surender, we would like to present our side of the story as well.. Customs department in india is very erractic and unpredictable, we had sold this product to multiple clients via e-mail and can share details of all.. the minimum customs applicable is around 300 rupees. which is decent enough for the customer to pay, however in mr surendra's case they have charged 2000 rupees. we still did not got the answer still.. however giving customer top priority and avoid any inconvenience the moment surender highlighted it to us. we made payments of 2000 rupees.

surendra please acknowledge.. as it's the duty of the buyer as well to close loop...

the whole post looks like the seller did not corporate.

we had closed the issues very quickly.
