I bought a Sandisc SD card recently which had a tag showing "Shipping Free". However during the payment process, shipping fee of Rs 70/- miraculously apperared and added to the total cost, which then became higher than that of other online stores. Anyway in spite of being kind of irritated, I continued with the purchase because I was in a bit of hurry. There was no communication from the seller as to the status of the delivery, so I wrote to him for which I got an unenthusiastic reply that the item will be shipped immediately but he won't be responsible for any delay on the courier's part. To cut it short, it took an unreasonable 12 days for the product to reach me. May be the sellers associated with ebay are not aware of the fact that the normal lead time with online stores generally has come down drastically so that anything more than 3 days is too too long these days.

I do understand your inconvenience. Just like to inform you that ebay search system designed in such a way that once you apply filter- free shipping- all the listings where seller has offered free shipping service as the first shipping option will be visible to you. Seller on ebay can select 3 shipping services for his product listing-

# Delivery in his city
# Flat rate to all buyers for National Delivery &
# Economic rate for all buyers for National Delivery.

Once the buyer selcted 'Buy it Now' and proceed to pay , system check his pincode and show the relevant courier service option. In your case, seller has offered free shipping services in his city, however your shipping address is of different city - you have been charged additional courier charges.

It is true that it generally takes maximum of 3- 4 working days to deliver the product in metro cities. However, to be on safer side we offer seller 5 days to dispatch and 7 days to deliver the product. Kindly note that your money would be transfer to the seller only once you confirmed the item receipt or PaisaPay timelines got over.
