On 12.06.06 I won the bid for item no.7628180731 offerred by the seller net_mall_in1 - I have paid Rs 13475 for the same to the seller thru online bank to bank transfer (after getting mail and telephonic communication from seller). Now already 13 days have gone after I made the payment but still item is not delivered to me. I tried on the tele no. of the seller but the tele no. is also wrong and its never get connected. I am feeling totally cheated, helpless and am shocked. I have also opened a dispute on e-bay - but there is no response at all. Also now this seller is shown as not registered with e-bay. I wonder whether i will ever get the refund from him or e-bay....e-bay is also not helping in any manner. the situation is no picture no sound both from seller and ebay side.I paid the money on the faith that the seller is using e-bay portal so e-bay is giving a security about the seller's identity and genuinness. But now I feel that its a big public fraud is being carried out under shelter of e-bay. Pl tell me tht other then e-bay, who is responsible for the mental stress and heressment and why e-bay should not compensate me for this mental stress and heressment. If e-bay is a genuin company with proper corporate governance, I appeal to them that either they should close down this company or they should make the system perfect and fraud free. Pl give me contact tele no. of authorised e-bay officials to talk about the matter and get me my money back along with the compensation of the mental heressment caused because of e-bay.

Dear bnslv,

Your money is safe on ebay if you have paid through PaisaPay via Bank transfer.

Forget about the Seller who is not registered on site now.

Just keep in mind that you have to follow all the steps at the right time and in the alloted time frame.

If you loose out any step in a stipulated time you will loose your hard earned money.

I again assure you that your money is safe.

Just go through this link....

http://pages.ebay.in/help/tp/isgw-buyer-protection-steps.html

and if you need more help someone from the Community would be there to help you out.

best regards

Hi,

If the seller do not reply then you will have option to close the dispute and claim the refund.

The seller was not offering PaisaPay payment hence you might have paid directly thru online direct bank transfer. In that case you are likely to get a refund of Rs.9950 from eBay.

In future you may consider to check the feedback of the seller before making such big deals. If they are offering to accept payment thru PaisaPay then the entire amount paid by you is safe upto Rs. 50000. For other payments the refund limit is Rs. 10000 (-Rs.50 as processing charges).

Hope your next deal will be a pleasant one. .

My case is also pretty much the same. But I paid Rs. 13,348/- after winning a bid for the Item #200005504101 through Paisa Pay. Now the seller is no more a registered user and the item is removed from ebay for some reason. I mailed to ebay couple of times for the address of the seller but they did not reveal the contact info of the seller for some reason. Since, I can file a ITEM NOT RECEIVED dispute only after 10 days I am waiting for 10 days to complete. I feel that ebay should act instantly since and credit the amount to the buyers since, the amount still remains with ebay who acts a mediators. This reduces lot of mental tensions to the buyers. Hope I receive my money back asap once i file my despute.

Don't worry, I too am in your league. I too have been swindled. It would be very interesting to get some data which will tell us exactly what amount has been swindled courtesy ebay.
Can all those who have been cheated give the amount and item no and other details?

Hi everybody I am also with you that this compnay just playing with our money. I have paid Rs. 15850.00 to them & also get confirmation for the same, on the very next day coming to know that they had suspended the seller account, hence he has not recd money. Which clearly shows that ebay is cheating the people like us & trying to make money in this way.

I also mailed & faxed to ebay about refund of money, but these damn people don't bother to respond that our money is safe & will be refunded soon.

I believe that we should move Consumer Court for this & let them to learn a lesson. So that these kind of companies can't able to operate like this. (Copy/particular of my interaction with ebay & seller is given here under)

We are disappointed to hear your unpleasant experience on eBay.in. I wish to reiterate the fact that eBay strives to takes all the necessary steps possible to protect its buyers from unpleasant experiences.

I would like to clarify - eBay India Site offers an Online Market platform where sellers can list items for sale and buyers either bid for such items in an auction-style format or buy the same
outright at a price set by the seller. eBay role is clearly limited to that of an intermediary
and does not own, stock, sell, distribute or in any manner come into possession of any
items/products listed or put up for sale on the website.

eBay recommends its Buyers to be prudent before any transaction and evaluate the item and the seller. As a buyer ensure you have gone through Buying Tipsbefore you make your purchase.

On every listing eBay advises its buyers to

1. Buy safely
2. Check the seller's reputation (Positive feedback; date of registration; past history of sales)
3. Learn how you are protected
4. Use Safe payments methods e.g. PaisaPay

However, in the event of an unpleasant experience on eBay , we have a comprehensive Protection for Buyers. eBay is committed to protect its buyers under Buyer Protection and ensure buyers are protected to the maximum, as demonstrated in all your case.

In our endeavor to make eBay a safe and secure online marketplace we have a Security & Resolution Centre that helps buyers and sellers to prevent / resolve any disputes thus making it a safe and secure market place

More over we closely work with Law Enforcement to resolve complaints by providing all the relevant information required for their investigations (The information shall be released to any Law Enforcement request only)

Buying safely tips for online transaction

1. Learn as much as possible about the product
2. Review sellers feedback and past transaction details
3. Understand sellers refund policies
4. Use a safe and secure payment process that offers protection e.g. PaisaPay
5. If you have made payment outside PaisaPay – Retain copies of payment receipt
6. If an offer sounds highly suspicious or too good to be true, it probably is
7. Read and understand safe trading guidelines of eBay
8. Retain copies of all correspondence and communication made outside eBay platform with the seller, as this may help solve most disputes Regards,
