Ebay not honouring its own Gift Voucher for Rs.398.20

Dear Ebay Team

Today I had made a purchase of Rs.7964 and applied a GIFT VOUCHER of 5% discount "HDFCEBAY24" and made payment through credit card.

I received a call later from EBAY stating that due to technical problem at EBAY end, the transaction was rejected, the lady requested me to repeat the transaction and make the payment again.

I went to the message inbox of my account and saw the rejected message from PaisaPay and made the payment again but somehow your system did not reprocess the eBay gift voucher HDFCEBAY24 worth 5% i.e. Rs. 398.20 for this txn amount. The message is given below -

Pending PaisaPay payment is rejected for your eBay order (PaisaPay ID 31033786585).

This is a normal occurrence with ebay payment gateway. The ebay payment gateway never works and most buyers get this "payment rejected" message.

It is sad that you as buyer has to suffer because of ebay's carelessness and incompetency in maintaining its own payment gateway and we sellers also have to suffer because we do not have sales due to this issue.

Further to my earlier complaint re. PaisaPay ID 31033786585, also note that I spoke with your call center at length regarding why I was unable to reuse the Promo Code Voucher "HDFCEBAY24" for 5% discount on my transaction since the earlier txn. was cancelled due to "technical issue" on Ebay servers.

But their standard response was that a promo code once used could not be used again even if cancelled by ebay.

I seriously think that this is just an attempt by Ebay to cheat me of the 5% discount on my transaction value of Rs.7964, which works out to Rs.398.20/-.

Finally I was forced to repay using my credit card for the same transaction but without applying the coupon code "HDFCEBAY24" which was unscrupulously rejected by EBAY.

The new transaction ID for your reference is PaisaPay ID 31034056115 where I have been charged the full amount of Rs.7964/-.

I HEREBY REQUEST THE EBAY AUTHOROTIES CONCERNED TO PROCESS MY REPURCHASE TRANSACTION BUT HONOUR ITS COMMITMENT AND REFUND ME RS.398.20/-
