Ebay Guarantee - way to fool people !

Few days back I bought a fossil watch (Rs. 3250) from ebay and it wasnt as described. I raised a claim through ebay guarantee and after one month i got a call from ebay to ship the watch back to seller.

I shipped the watch to seller within three days(on 8 December) but till date i havent received my money back.

When i contacted customer support they told me that your case has been closed and ebay has nothing to do with it and now you have to contact seller to get your money back.

I am trying to contact seller but he doesnt respond.

Is it the way to deal with customer ?? Ebay sucks !!

I would like know why ebay didn't respond from ebay. Now I should think many times before buying from ebay.

Keep everything documented because that is your proof. Go to sites like MouthShut.com to publish your story. Explain it well and then inform eBay about this. The negative PR would hopefully make them realize something.

Try to have all your communication through email as that can serve as proof. You should also have the proof that you have delivered the watch back to the seller.

If this money matters to you a lot or if it is about principle, don't be afraid to go to consumer court. Again, documentation is important.

Note - Only go forward if you are telling the truth here.

I had a similar experience. I ordered an iphone through Global Easy Buy which was advertised as "new" I received a used phone. I gave url of Apple warranty check to ebay rep, documented screenshot that the phone was old but no respite. Ebay paisa pay just closed the case in seller's favour. Paisa Pay is complete eyewash, in fact I think it is a fraud that ebay and sellers have floated to cheat Indian buyers on ebay.
