Hello Members,

I wanted to post a clarificaiton on the topic:

The Communication Partner warning that a member receives from TnS is only to alert the member that he has received a spam and should not act on the same. Whenever the system identifies a spam mail, it warns the receiving member.
This does not neccecarily imply that you need to report the same to eBay.

Thanx. I check my bulk mail folder of yahoo every day. No China-goods mail there. Never ever. Yahoo does not allow them. Yahoo probably has the best spam protectection. Only here I get these useless mails.

Hi friends...


I am also facing the same problem...in the last 2 months there have been so many such mails..most of them about chinese products and the alarming part is two days back i received an ebay warning about communication with a member who ebay suspects to be fake ..However, neither did i receive any message from that id...nor did i communicate with any of the other spam mails.
Its really shocking.

Hope ebay will take corrective measures to avaoid these happenings in the future.

I seem to be getting around an average of 10 (but as many as 40!) of these Chinese wholesaler messages per day. It does take time to open up the emails and look at them.

I normally report them to TnS

I went through to one of the sites advertised out of interest, it is an obvious scam site. They only seem to accept wire transfer which flags up a warning straight away.

All the messages are in roughly the same format, such as Hello my good friend, sorry to disturb your precious time, please take a moment to look at the best wholesaler in China... etc etc etc


What is ebay doing about these messages?! It is a nightmare!

One is not a problem but when you get 10 or more per day, it is annoying. I also worry that I am going to miss some emails from GENUINE customers/

I sell very rarely, but I buy a lot. And since this current sell I don't think I'll be selling anymore. I listed a laptop 2 days ago. I said in large letters that I will only ship within US. However, some scammer bought it with buy it now and wanted me to ship it to Nigeria and he would pay me $300 for the shipping. I knew it was a scam. What ticked me though is he had a -1 score and I had anything -1 or less couldn't bid?? However, his id was already deleted so I relisted it. Since I use the bold and extra goodies to highlight it I will be losing money on the relist already. So now its been about 12 hours since the relist and I've already recieved 3 spam messages from China Wholesalers and one request to ship it to Taiwan!
If I actually get the laptop sold this time, which I have my doubts so far, it will probably be my last sell on Ebay. Too bad. It was nice while it lasted.

Hi Steve,
Forgive me please. But Taiwan is not bad. I shipped to Taiwan. It takes somewhat more time. Taiwan is much better than Nigeria.
I think you may give it a try.
A seller have to have a lot of patience.
