Diwali Dhamaka False............

Hi All,

Today I have ordered an item of Rs.7176/-.
As all you might be knowing,on the home page itself ebay is publishing DIWALI DHAMAKA, ASSURED GIFT.
I ordered the item successfully and the payment also has been made but i didn't find any diwali gift mail or message.

Its absolutely false to attract the customer.

It seems that you've completed your PaisaPay transaction without entering the promotion code and that's why you've not received such mail.

In order to eligible for gift, buyer need to visit following link and generate the code before he proceed with his purchase.

He can copy and paste the code in the field allocated on PaisaPay transaction page, click on apply tab and complete the transaction.

You can follow the instructions and avail this promotion as it is valid till 15th Novmber,2012.

I have been following up since November 26, 2012 and am completely frustrated at ebay's behaviour in this matter. The chat and phone agents ask us to send email to inappeals@ebay.in yet no one responds to emails sent to the said address.

The customer support website had this message that customers should try after 6 pm today. This message was on their website for one whole week and now it is not there.

The customer care does not provide any escalation matrix nor any facility to take our case to their superiors. They only keep assuring that the problem will be resolved in 24 hours. Even today I called up customer care and the phone disconnected so I had a chat with Manisha C, chat agent on ebay. Again I am told that my problem is escalated and will be resolved in 24 hours, this is the same answer ebay has been giving me since November 26, 2012, and I have lost count of the number of 24 hours that have elapsed since I first contacted customer care.

My take on this is as follows:

1. As a customer, I followed ebay's process of buying and applying the diwali dhamaka code, then why do I need to go through all these issues?
2. Why cant customer care provide the escalation matrix? What is so secretive about it?
3. Whatever technica issue there is, is from ebay's side. As a customer, why should I have to go through the trouble and inconvenience of first buying, then reporting issues, then following up, and yet bear the complacent behaviour of ebay of not even responding to my emails?
4. Ebay's email policy states that response will be received in maximum 72 hours, yet I have had no response for over a week now.

I am going to now lodge a complaint in the national consumer forum. Their web url is http://Core.nic.in

I think ebay has taken customers for granted for too long. It is time they learnt that they are thriving and flourishing because of customes and that they cannot take customers for granted anymore.

There was Cleartrip coupon that was part of the DIWALI DHAMAKA. Till now there no word from EBAY regarding the same.

i have purchased two items on ebay worth more than rs. 50,000
and my account balance on diwali dhamaka showed only for one item i.e. 49440. i am really frustrated of calling them for more than a month. ebay is just a FRAUD. i have sent many many emails too, been following up since 26th november, nothing works. no one from ebay cares to see. it seems like i will have to go to the consumer court.

I am facing Similar Issue I have redeemed my Diwali gift & did not received the gift so far.I contacted many times Ebay Customer Care reagrding this.They were saying 45 Days will take for shipment.Now even after 45 Days there is no proper answer from Ebay customer care and they started cheating customers again with New Year Dhamka.I purchased the Item with Paisapay ID (32428737180) I never expected this kind of cheat from Ebay.I also sent the screen shot of the redeemedgift to seemak@ebay.com and there was no reply.

DIWALI DHAMAKA Free gift promotion is false ....
I have claimed my free gift on 26 Nov, 2012 and it's still not dispatched. Customer support people telling it may take one more month to dispatch the gift and no answer on CLEARTRIP coupon.
