I didn't received my Christmas gift because I didn't redeemed for same by 15th Jan...... I was told the same by ebay customer care and when I raised a request initially for the gift which I was entitle for.... then I had request for claim under claim guarantee, my claim has been turned down unilaterally without going into the whole matter and even speaking to me..........
According to ebay customer care I should have redeemed for the gift by 15th Jan even I do not or will not receive the purchased item, my question to ebay and all customers has the ebay taken effort to send the gift if at the end the transaction would have been cancelled? I purchased the item on 28th Dec 2011 but then it was delivered to me after 15th Jan on 14th Feb 2012, had I gone and redeemed for the gift by 15th Jan 2011 and had something gone wrong with my transaction I am 100% sure my money would have been blocked by ebay as I have already redeemed my gift and gift has been sent to me?? One stupid customer care said this doesnot have any link with redemption of gift and I would have received the gift free of cost?? Then I realized that ebay has customer care merely in the name of customer care....
Not sure if there is any one within the ebay gets a chance to look at or even someone from it's parents company ever review the unhealthy practice and gets worried about its unethical practices....
Guys beware of these kind of companies..... unfortunately we do have any marketing regulation and we do not see much competition within this space.........
I recommend everyone to avoid dealing through ebay or atleast trusting all the free gift promotions, they are just playing with the customer by fooling them in the name of free gifts and festival celebration.....
