Adding shipping details is compulsory but not item received confirmation

If adding shipping details is compulsory for sellers than even item receipt confirmation should be made compulsory for sellers.Sellers have to wait 15 days to receive their money for the item,if the buyer doesn't confirm that the item is received.

mostly the new buyers are ignorant and forget every thing after receiving their item.if a new buyer is persuaded to confirm the receipt of item he can also consider leaving negative feedback. let the things remain as it is

Nothing is compulsory for either seller or buyer. There is a dateline for seller for posting shipping details. If date line is not followed money will be refunded to buyer. Similarly is item receipt is not confirmed by buyer by a given dateline, it will be assumed by eBay that item is received by buyer and money (paid by buyer)will be released by eBay to seller

Its no big deal. Even if the buyer do not confirm, your item will be treated as received after few days.
