I saw a few posts by unhappy ebay and they were all new members who probably have no clue of how ebay actually works. So because they did not do the right steps, they blame everything on ebay. Since you did not buy the item from ebay, it the seller that is the problem.
Ebay provides you with buyer protection for a certain period of time when you follow certain steps. If you do not follow the steps within the time period or simply do not follow the steps, there is nothing they can do.
If you filed a not as decribed dispute, were you asked to return the item to the seller? Did you do what you were instructed to do by ebay (not the seller)?
No one forces you to buy on ebay.
