ebay policies

I wish to comment on returns policy of ebay which I think are not in line with indian operating condition.
We all know the shopkeepers return policy in india are on sellers favour & most dont offer refunds & will grudgingly accept to exchange only. When we buy on net we are not sure what we are buying unless its a branded product. I have notice outdated, unknown & even second hand products in plenty on ebay. iam also told that some of the electronic goods are not covered by manufacturers warranty but only by sellers. This is frought with risks & ebay when contacted replied stating they are only facilitators & cannot assure on the source & quality of products on sale.
I have just bought a Siemens MC 60 mobile which says it belons to "T" mobile. T mobile is a Uk based mobile service provider. In England & europe all mobile service providers give free handsets.
So, is this lifed from them ??? Am I using a stolen set??
Ebay better screen the sellers & their ware
Under these conditions buyers could be sold grey goods which will neither have warranty nor the asurance its safe to buy. So think this over before bidding.
