The coupons cannot be transferred, they are locked to that ebay id and only to whom it is issued by ebay only that id can use it, no other.

yha coupon do works, just buy the product which you wish and proceed for payment, on middle of the payment page you find the coupon code (10digits) section. just entre.
Good thing about it that it shows how much discount you receiving before making any payment. So you can feel safe and buy from ebay.
