eBay Customer Support is insensitive!

I purchased an item from the seller "necessity" in the third week of December 2013. When I received the item I found that the item is not as per the description on the eBay website. I sent message to the seller through eBay messaging. The seller asked me to return the item and also said that after getting the item back he would refund the money. I returned the item through Speed Post and the item was received by the seller on Decmber 27, 2013. The seller asked me to provide my Account No. which I did not provide because eBay insists that transactions should take place through eBay.

I have contacted eBay Customer Support 4-5 times but till date eBay CS has not done anything.

I sent email to the seller. The seller informed me that he had tried to send the refund twice through eBay refund system but could succeed.

I consider the apathy and unresponsiveness of eBay Customer Support deplorable.

If the issue is not resolved, I will be compelled to take legal action against eBay India.

Dear Sanjeev,

I am also facing some sort of issues like that. I tried calling there customer care (1-800-209-3229) and that number is not in service it seems. Would you kindly pass me the number you have contacted ebay customer care support?

Appreciate it.

Regards.

eBay Customer Support is insensitive!

Hello Mr Sinha,

My case is fairly similar to yours in that the product shipped to me is completely different to the one ordered.

I had ordered a Transcend  MicroSDHC Class4 card for mobile & they shipped me a Flash drive-Even a blind man can feel by his hands & know that a flat small card is different from a flash drive. So it cannot be an error-It is an obvious deliberate act to defraud the buyer.

I had already contacted the seller + Ebay guarantee + Ebay cust support + Customer feedback for seller.

The seller wants me to send the item back.

I intend to fight for not sending it back at my cost as it was not a mistake (eg 4GB instead of 8GB may be a mistake but a flash drive instead of a card is a deliberate cheating act according to my inference).

I have already sent intimation to ebay India that I wish to complain to Ebay worldwide if they do not penalise the seller/vendor.

I do not even mind losing my Rs 1000 card, IF THE SELLER CAN BE PENALISED so that it serves as a harsh lesson for other CHEATER SELLER on multiple Indian websites.

If you also have similar issues we can take up these matters against ebay India.

Do let me know - This also applies to other people who have similar complaints like this.

Just recently I managed to force Lenovo India to repair my Laptop for known manufacturing defects even outside the warranty period - Till we all try together these cheaters will keep on taking us for a ride. So lets unite & fight these immoral sellers/vendors.

Thanks.
