Hi
Hope my concerns will be replied by eBay.
Today I found the deal of the week product, ie, Sony DSC-W310 digital camera for Rs 5920/- with free shipping. And the seller says its 1 year warranty from him. But in actual the original same digicam from Sony carries a 3 years warranty which they sell with in India. That means, Can we say the product eBay advertising as deal of the week is not the genuine product from Sony ???
Is no, then Does Sony sells the same product with 2 warranties, ie, one with 1year and another with 3 year ?
Hope my concerns will be replied by eBay.

It depends on Seller selling the product if he is giving 1 year or 3 years as his maybe the purchase from the Company.

Congratulations and Thanks for initiating a new way of analysing DEALS. More members should do with each product as it is more than often found that the deal in not really a deal.
Just considering above findings, the eBay bargain is less than what you get from SONY directly as it gives you 3 years warranty.
Also consider the issue that SONY can offer you service almost every city around you if you have brought from proper dealer chain while they may reject one from eBay seller. Also 1 year or even few months is too long to expect that seller may be there on eBay that time or to his contact. Cheats are using this very scheme.
I have had experienced that sometimes serial numbers are not even in database of Sony so they do not entertain even paid service.
Judge yourself everything before you buy from unknown destination.
BTW, there are many highly reputed sellers on eBay.in.
