Sorry to say Mr Authentic World you are mistaken. Gone are the times when India was a dumping ground. Today India is the biggest market in the world and some products which are not even available in US and UK are first sold in India.

I have been selling grey market cameras for last 3 years at 3/4th manufacturer warranty product and none has any buyer faced any issue or complaint.

As for repair of camera vendors dont have the time to waste for such things as they have better things to manage in life. Besides reparing a camera often the cost goes beyond the price of the camera. So stop fooling misleading the customer.

Ebay is a free trade place where both manufacturer wararnty and vendor warranty products are sold. The customer is free to decide what they want afterall "CUSTOMER IS KING"

As far as how the products are brought into India. I am sure people would be aware that electronics products are lot cheaper in US and Dubai markets. There are people who specially visit and import a lot of products at fraction of the cost of importing by removing the MRP of the products and often claiming the products as second hand to customs. Its all a nexus however the products are brand new for sure.

Point No.1. Selling Grey Market Products is illegal. The products are customs duty evaded. Sellers selling these products do not pay any vat or other taxes. When caught these dealers will face heavy penalties and jail sentences. And beleive me everyone will be caught one day.

Point No.2. Yes many (not all) of these cameras sold in Grey Market are indeed refurbished or fakes. An industry insider will admit as much.

Point No.3. As long as ebay.in allows sale of grey market products, legally imported and duty paid products will never be sold on ebay.in as the price difference is too huge. Add to it ebaY apathy in allowing these sellers to hoodwink buyer by claiming "BILL AND WARRANTY" in big and bold letter and confusing buyers in beleiving that these products are genuine.
