Urgent Help Regarding Paypal !

Hi.. Two days back I added my HDFC Platinum Plus credit card(which is also verified by visa) to my Paypal account, it deducted 1.95$ as per the cc link & confirmation process which reflected in my statement along with the 4 digit expuse code which i used to confirm my cc & my account status is verified now.
Now the problem is that whenever I use paypal during checkout in ebay.com I get the this error

"This card cannot be used for this transaction. You can complete the checkout with another debit or credit card. Please enter your new card information below."

I have contacted paypal regarding this issue & this is the reply i got

"Thank you for contacting PayPal.

Upon checking your account, I see that your issuing bank denied our request to verify this card ending in '****. Please contact your issuing bank for details on this action. "

Now on contacting HDFC credit card customer care they told me that everything is fine at their end & 1.95$ paypal transaction is also a verified transaction.
But the customer care is asking me do i entering the correct password while making paypal payment, here he is asking about the verified by visa password(which is made mandatory by RBI from Aug 1st, 2008) but paypal is not asking me to enter any password then how could I.

This is getting really vicious. I have tried to make payment numerous times in the past two days with no luck, now i am pissed off. I am going to get unpaid item strike for sure!!

Anyone faced this issue or help in anyway are most welcome.

Hi smiles_gaurav it is really a bad idea you want to use your credit card in PayPal.They say it is safe but what if someone hacks your PayPal password?

If you have a HDFC bank account you could use Virtual Credit Cards.It is 100% safe and i have verified my PayPal account using it and also paying for my purchases every-time using VCC's only.It is free from HDFC.They may limit your paypal account if you have added a certain number of credit cards but if you explain them in India Credit cards are not common they will remove the limits.

What i have posted above is out of my own experience only.

@madmahesh2009 thnx for ur contribution but as I stated my cc is "verified by visa" that adds an extra security layer by which one has to enter his secret password(given by respective cc issuer bank) before completing any transaction, so even if i lost my card or my paypal account gets hacked no one can misuse my credit card as they are not having my secret password.

I know HDFC VCC(netsafe) is working well but it dosent make any sense to generate vcc every now & then to make payments that too of exact same amount that you are going to pay for an item. I think cc is good but dont know why the hell mine is not working with paypal even after getting verified & having full credit limit.

Buying or selling paypal funds for Indian Ruppes is against policies of paypal .They will treat it as money laundering.

@smiles_gaurav - Other way - If I were you - I would have tried another credit card rather than sticking with the one which is not at all working.
