Taking the bid back

Hi, need urgent help plz. I have bid on one item but now I want to opt out and thus want to withdraw my bid. But when I open the item I am bidding on, I don't see any button or option through which I can withdraw my bid and get safely out of this item. Plz earliest possible tell me the exact path or button through which I can achieve this objective.

check out the ebay help. as far as i know, once you have bid on an item you have entered a legally binding contract to buy if you win and can retract your bid only under some conditions. you'll find the conditions @ ebay help pages. -- Signature: I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.
