Seller SGM world bids on its own items.

On June 11, 2005 I had bid on Item no. 4386520111 (Stainless Steel Vacuum Flask) at 3.24 P.M. for 2 nos. The item was listed on site for the last 7 day but no one had bid on it. But immediately after my bid some how a new member (Chelpark) with 0 ratings sprang out from sky at purchased at not even at next slab of increasing Rs. 25.00 but at Rs. 75.00. for both the items. Its anybody’s guess who this Mr. Chelpark is. This is not only for the first time, anybody can watch the sellers previous listings that it happens too ofte. This is really shameful for a seller like SGM who hold reputation in Kanpur as a A grade seller. I hope Ebay watches its listings and takes appropriate action and better still SGM mends its way. YES ritu, even i faced the same situation for my first bid in eBAY.whenever i bid an amount much higher than the current bid, the system gives an alert that the amount is already in bid by someone and ultimately the bid goes off our hand.

Now i am confused either to bid in eBAY or NOT !

Can u add more info abt the same.

There are two things which I would like to answer.

1) A user can automatically increase their bids with the facility of Proxy Bidding

2) If you find any body shill bidding on items then kindly report it to Contact Us

Thanks nvid for taking at last a note of the complaint.
In this matter, I would like to put a few points about the seller for all the users of ebay. There is absolutely no complaints regarding the items of sgmworld. In fact their packaging & handling is suitable for nicest of the items and the quality is also quite good to superb.
Re the proxy bidding, I would like to clarify that my complaints does not cover the biddings by proxy. Proxy bidding can only be done by a bidder who has bid before my bid. My complaints are about the false bidders generated by the seller to bid on its own item. I have already sent a detailed complaint to ebay along with the list of all the bidders who have bid on items of sgm in the last moment. Its anybody’s guess that if continuosly a incidence happens that for 6-7 days there is no bidder at all but somehow right before the end of auction, some bidder (with 0 ratings) appears and takes away the item by increasing a whopping margin and if this happens in fact then also not for 10-15 times continuosly.
I hope ebay will take a detailed study of their past listings for last 1-2 months and can themselves find sellers process but ONLY IF THEY WANT TO else not only sgm but hundreds of other sellers will keep doing so. Ritu Agrawal
