Most International sellers will mark items as gift.
However remember you may be asked by customs to produce evidence of the cost, so some sellers may be unwilling to misrepresent on the customs form.
This is India, if the customs officer wants to charge you more he will. I have had them alter the customs delcaration and add extra cost onto the parcel, so that they get a bigger tip.
Most items under 2KG do not face customs charges. I mark all my international sales as gift item for personal use.
