My payback points were deducted even though the transaction failed. What to do?

Same thing happened to me as well.

So far I have tried to order 5-6 times and every time it failed when I redeem my payback points.  But the order goes through successfully if I do not redeem my points.

So the payback redemtion is only for eyewash?  Did anybody got this work?

This is still not fixed. My transaction failed and the points have been deducted from my Payback account.

I am not going to use this feature any more it is a waste of time.

Same story with me:

1. I tried payback and last 3 transcations failed.

2. First time i paid by card after it failed with payback

3. When it failed the second time I wrote to them.

4. Pathetic ebay customer service replied to my email , saying basically " don'yt worry if it failed, you will get back your points back in 4 days"

5. It failed again the 3rd time.

Point is that EBAY needs to fix the issue, if it's a genuine technical issue as it appears from the error message or if they are deliberately doing this , then they better clear up asap.

My payback points were successfully redeemed, but then the transaction failed and the payback points are also lost. I want my payback points back and then only I am going to purchase.

I faced the same issue yesterday. I redeemed my payback points(approx - 3200 points = worth Rs.825), but credit card bank site failed.

I am worried about the payback points now.

I purchaed mobile by making part payment throgh net banking and balance through net banking.Mobile recieved was defective seller was tò god and immidiayely has taken back mobile.I recieved refund for payment through net banking but payback points are yet to be credited back inspite of mo of mails to ebay
can ebay let me know why there is so much delay and when they will refund payback points

ITEM Name:- 'Black Diamond Non Stick Pathri Tawa Square Size' as unable to find item number on your site. I have used redeem point option, but as the address mentioned was not applicable for the item, so i clicked on 'remove' option corresponding to payback point. Now changed the address and tried to redeem point but this time it is showing only few of my points left over after first time claim of Payback Points which i have actually not redeemed as i have used 'remove' option before changing the delivery address. Please help to gain my points back as i have not bought any item.
